The pump's lifespan varies dispending on the water hardness and how often the filter is replaced. We recomend using mineral water and changing the filters once a month, to be more effective against bad smells and taste in the water.
*Note - All pumps on fountains need to be cleaned regularly to keep it running best. We will not replace/credit a fountain that stops working due to an uncleaned pump. Not for outdoor use and make sure to put water in it before switching on - or it will damage the pump!
