The Mistral 400 and 800 have a continuously variable power regulator that allows flexible use for aerating aquariums with air stones and operating protein skimmers with ceramic or wooden air stones. This means that the Mistral membrane air pumps are designed for use in freshwater and saltwater aquariums in living spaces.
